As we approach our first year of operations in Albuquerque, we are pleased with our success to date and even more excited about the future. We are ready to transition in a new head brewer/brewmaster who will take over the reigns and elevate our beers to the next level. 

We are located in the Wells Park neighborhood, one-block south of Interstate 40. The facility is approximately 10k sq. ft consisting of the brewery, onsite brew hall and patio. Our brew house is a Premier Stainless 15-bbl steam-fired system. Culture, community, sense of place and uncompromising standards for quality inspire the Bow & Arrow experience. Bow & Arrow Brewing Co. is seeking qualified candidates for the Head Brewer/Brewmaster position at our Albuquerque, New Mexico brewery and brew hall. We are looking for someone who is a go-getter, flexible working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable solving problems with limited information and guidance. The Head Brewer’s responsibilities will involve everything brewing-related, from leading the day-to-day management of our 15-bbl steam-fired Premier brewing operations, to developing and refining B&A recipes (experience with barrel-aging and sours preferred), to representing B&A at special events and competitions. The position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, professional-scale brewing understanding and experience (as Head Brewer or Assistant Brewer), a diploma or certificate in brewing or fermentation sciences, and the ability to switch gears quickly and prioritize many high priority tasks at once to meet quality and production goals. 

The position will be full-time offering competitive compensation, depending on experience and level of commitment. Brewery support includes hourly production assistance with brew days and cellaring.

• Capable of standing for long periods of time and to perform physically demanding work
• May need to lift up to 75 pounds
• Capable of safe and competent work on and around potentially hazardous machinery, equipment, chemicals and systems
• Able to work in an environment with high noise level
• May need to come in on weekends and/or weeknights and respond to emergencies

We require a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
